Rising Heart Scholarship

SENIORS ONLY
Due: February 26, 2026 to the School Counseling Office for processing and mailing

The Rising Heart Scholarship was created with the belief that we all need someone to take a chance- no matter how small- on us. This scholarship honors a child born during civil unrest, who became a U.S. Marine, worked their way through school while having a family and achieved becoming a Special Agent for the United States. Throughout life, he helped individuals who were at a point of overwhelm and despair. This scholarship is for students who have found themselves in such a position to receive that small chance.

She was a member of the Christ Church Choir, and a former member of the Chorus of Westerly.

Two $500 scholarships will be awarded each year- one to a graduating Senior member of the CHS Drama Club, and one to a graduating Senior member of the CHS Chorus, who plan on furthering their education after graduating. Only one application per student (you cannot apply for both). Applications will be due annually on April 17th (Sylvia’s birthday!) and will be presented at the annual Scholarship Awards night.
