SENIORS ONLY
DUE:  February 12, 2020

The scholarship provides four-year scholarships of up to $20,000 per student per year for graduating high school seniors in Rhode Island. The scholarship is part of our Carter Roger Williams Initiative, conceived of and funded by philanthropists Letitia and the late John Carter and managed by the Rhode Island Foundation.

Rhode Island founder Roger Williams was a remarkable man. He came from a very modest background, and access to education was absolutely key in shaping his character, beliefs, and actions throughout his life.

The Carter Roger Williams Scholarship provides annual scholarships to Rhode Island high school seniors who display an appreciation for, and a desire to embody, the values of our states founder. The program also provides comprehensive resources and information about Roger Williams and his teachings via http://findingrogerwilliams.com/

The deadline to apply for the Carter Roger Williams Scholarship is midnight on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. Applicants must currently be residents of Rhode Island and seniors at any high school in Rhode Island, and they must have been accepted by an accredited post-secondary institution by the date of award. Applications should be submitted via our online, electronic grants system. The entire selection and application process is available at findingrogerwilliams.com/scholarships.
