The Maddie Potts Foundation was established in November of 2017, less than 2 months after Maddie's sudden death on the Chariho soccer field of an unknown brain aneurysm. Maddie exemplified all attributes that a student athlete should possess. She always led by example, and dedicated her free time to helping her teammates, fellow art students and all others around her to be the very best they could be. She stood up for and reached out to new students/teammates that were not as likely to be able to stand up for themselves. The Maddie Potts Foundation was founded in order to carry on Maddie's legacy of kindness, compassion, hard work, inclusive leadership and perseverance, aka Maddie Mentality.

RISLA Financial Literacy Scholarship
06/01/2020

Beginning October 1st, RISLA will be launching a new scholarship for students. This scholarship centers around the goal of providing financial literacy awareness to students and families. They have incorporated financial literacy information and tips into a new, fun scholarship quiz for students to enter into our monthly drawings. Two $2,000 winners will be drawn each month and scholarships will be awarded in May co-payable to the student and the school they will be attending.

How it works: Each month eligible students can visit the new scholarship page to read quick tips and answer three multiple choice questions regarding paying for college, budgeting, and more. Completion of the short quiz qualifies entry into our scholarship monthly drawing. Students are encouraged to enter monthly to increase their chances to win and learn more by reading new tips and answering new questions posted on the 1st of each month. Students can enter once per month, but can only win once per year.
